The locking hemostat plier is used to hold on to jump rings or other findings while soldering them in place. Place the jump ring in the jaws of the plier, then click the handle together to lock it in place, holding the jump ring securely. It makes it so much easier to hold the jump ring without causing your hand to get tired. When done simply unclick the handle to release.
