Ink-its Letterpress Plates combine style and ease to create artful ink-debossed impressions. This easy process impresses paper, cardstock, chipboard, mat board and other soft, thick materials. Elegant enough for any occasion, they provide the perfect accents for cards, invites, scrapbook pages and more. This Letterpress Plate showcases the friendly style of Ellison die artist Jen Philipsen. The plate measures 3 x 8 x 1/8, perfectly creating a border to an A7 card. Simply ink the plate using an ink pad and place your material carefully on top of the plate. Ink-its Letterpress Plates are for use with the BIGkick, Big Shot and Vagabond machines only (used with one Cutting Pad and the machine's included platform). Use pigment ink layered over clear watermark ink and medium weight (or heavier) watercolor paper - 100 lbs or more - for best results. Craft metal can also be impressed, but using shiny, non-porous materials with ink is not recommended because the ink will not dry. If using regular cardstock and not getting the impression you desire, place a thin piece of craft foam between the Cutting Pad and your paper. Water and a paper towel will remove most inks.
