Paper cookies have no calories! Both fortune cookies in this set feature slits for sliding sweet messages from the Good Fortune stamp set inside! Designed by Julie Ebersole. Die set comes packaged with a durable clear envelope and magnetic sheet for convenient storage.

Approximate measurements:
  • cookie 2-1/8 X 2
  • fortune slip 2-3/8 X 1/2

Side Note: Did you know that the modern day fortune cookie is actually a Japanese American invention? In San Francisco, a Japanese confectionary store (the Japanese are known for their love of desserts!) supplied them to the Japanese Tea Garden at Golden Gate Park. During WWII, when many Japanese Americans were sent to internment camps, Chinese business owners took the opportunity to produce fortune cookies themselves for Chinese restaurants and thus began the association of the fortune cookie with Chinese restaurants, as we know it today.

Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies are high-quality steel, made in the USA, and compatible with most die cutting systems including the Big Shot by Sizzix.

    Perfectly Perfect

I have wanted this product for awhile and it's exactly what I wanted. Lots of room for flexibility of use and more than a one show pony. I have to say, though, what really impressed me the most was the quality of the packaging and that these dies arrived in an actual usable heavy weight plastic pouch with a magnetic sheet. As a long time crafter, I appreciate these touches and that tells me this is a quality company. I've not ordered dies from Ellen before, but I plan to order again.
