SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Do you love social media? Do you love creativity and have an interest in the arts and crafts community?

Ellen Hutson LLC is a small, locally owned ecommerce retailer passionate about sharing creativity with the world. We specialize in stamping, die cutting and other quality paper crafting and art supplies.

We are looking for someone to create community, while educating and inspiring our customers through social media. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, dependable, able to multi-task, and communicate clearly in a fast-paced work environment. Applicants need to work well both independently and as part of a team, working part-time from our office/warehouse and at other times remotely, to create a voice for our company on social media!

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create new and highly engaging content and campaigns to engage with customers and grow Instagram, Facebook + other developing social media markets. Foster a positive, constructive, and communicative creative community that feels heard and appreciated.
  • Promote and highlight trending/relevant topics for brand awareness and sales conversion, while responding and engaging to posts, questions, and comments.
  • Stay current with social media trends and tools – including company provided educational sources, as well as seeking out other resources, to keep up to date on ever changing environment.
  • Collaborate with the founder, product development and teams coordinators, and brand partners to drive the creative vision for content and development of fresh ideas for the social media/editorial calendar.
  • Create and monitor campaigns keeping brand and voice consistent across all social channels.
  • Create meaningful on-brand graphics, video, and stories for daily posts to all social channels.
  • Creatively implement new ways to promote products, activities, and behind-the-scenes content using photo and video for events, promotion of both exclusive and various brand products.
  • Ability to use data to inform content marketing plans. Tracking results to help generate insight into community performance and develop strategies for improvements.

Key Qualifications/Skills:

  • Preferably have some college or professional training in social media marketing, with experience cultivating successful social media accounts.
  • Design, photography, and videography experience. Ability to photograph and edit for product lifestyle shots a plus.
  • Experience with social media platforms and tools used to manage content.
  • Compelling writer, with previous work getting tremendous engagement from readers. Able to thrive in both collaborative and independent working environments.
  • Personal passion for creativity and the joy it brings... in fact, the idea of getting to use paper craft supplies every day sounds like your dream job!
  • Ability to set and communicate clear goals and objectives and prioritize the most cost-effective use of resources to meet goals.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills; maintaining a neat working area to reduce waste.

Hours and Hourly Wage

  • 30 hours per week – some work outside of regular office hours
  • $16-18 per hour to start, depending on experience
  • Location: Issaquah (walking distance from Issaquah Transit Center)
