Meet designer Carolyn Peeler

Carolyn loves crafting because...

Creativity is a necessary part of life for me. Whether it is photography, jewelry making, paper crafting, event planning, graphic design, or styling my home, all these creative pursuits let me express myself through color, textures and the mental challenge of designing. I find creating a comforting balm in a world that is often hectic, and rushed. It restores my spirit and encourages me to thoughtfully, methodically create.

Carolyn finds inspiration...

When I sit down to create, the first thing I usually do is have a stamp set in mind that I want to work with. From there, the next thing I choose is my patterned paper. Everything else branches off of those two things. For inspiration, I love Pinterest and Instagram!

Carolyn's favorite products...

It has been a very long time since I fell in love with an ink line as much as I love this one. I totally dig that one layer of ink is almost always enough with this line. No need to stamp the same design 5 times to get the right amount of ink coverage. Thank you Catherine for an awesome product. I am slowly building my collection!

Probably my favorite card I've ever made featured this stamp set, and I love it just as much now as I did when it was released a few years ago.

I am a basics kind a girl! Give me jeans and a white button down and I'm cool! This is a basic set that I think every cardmaker would find incredibly useful in their stash. There's a little detail and texture with the stitched line, adding a bit of razzle to this 'standard'.

Have you ever stamped a sentiment only to find that the last letter didn't have enough ink, and doesn't show up enough? Yes? Well, me too! It was a frustration to make a project and then have it marred by an uneven application of a stamp. Enter the new generation of stamp positioners. They solve this problem and have plenty of other applications as well. I'm a believer and use mine on almost every single card I make!

This adhesive is strong and I especially love using it on projects using vellum - it truly disappears!

There is something about these sweet little girls that gets me every time I take the stamps out to work with. I hope my friends don't get tired of receiving cards featuring them, 'cause I don't see me retiring this set any time soon!

True story, I used to buy Avery shipping labels by the case. This die allows me to make my own tags in any color I choose. Love it!

Talk about color! I adore the saturation and smooth application of these watercolors by Kuretake. There is a richness to the colors and I never worry about getting separation between the pan watercolor and water from my brush. I get great results every time.

Patterned paper is probably my first love when it comes to paper crafting supplies, and is almost always featured on my cards. There is a patterned paper for every style of crafter, whether you're a fan of cute, modern, masculine, vintage, or shabby chic. It's an inexpensive supply that gives so many options.
